The Brown University Medical School Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery provides an annual two-day conference in controversies in minimally invasive surgery.
The goals of the conference are to:
- Provide various points of view regarding controversial issues in minimally invasive surgery
- Introduce new techniques and emerging technologies in minimally invasive surgery
- Provide information that is useful in everyday practice to surgeons in practice
A large period of time is devoted to discussion periods where these issues are explored further.
