Elizabeth Benz, DMD, is the director of the Samuels Sinclair Dental Center at Rhode Island Hospital, as well as the director of the Joseph S. Sinclair General Practice Residency Program. As a clinical assistant professor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Dr. Benz provides hands-on training to medical students, residents and fellows.
Dr. Benz is a fellow of the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and is also an active member of the Providence Dental Study Club, American Dental Education Association, American Dental Association, and Rhode Island Dental Association.
Eileen Danaher, DMD is an attending physician in the division of dentistry. Working primarily at the Samuels Sinclair Dental Center, she is focused on treating individuals with special needs and those who are dentalphobic.
Dr. Danaher is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She received her dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark and completed her general practice residency at the Alpert Medical School. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Rhode Island Dental Association.
At Samuels Dental, she focuses on working with patients who are anxious about dental treatment and allows them to succeed with modifications to suit their needs. Dr. Danaher is involved in Special Olympics, Mission of Mercy, and is headed to India on a dental mission to treat children in orphanages and schools.
Sara M. DiNardo, DMD, is currently a pre-fellow at the Academy of General Dentistry and is primarily located at Rhode Island Hospital’s Samuels Sinclair Dental Center, where she is the assistant director of the Joseph S. Sinclair General Practice residency program. As a clinical instructor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Dr. DiNardo provides hands-on training to medical residents and fellows. She completed her postdoctoral training in hospital dentistry and specializes in treating special needs and medically compromised patients. She also enjoys volunteering in the community, offering oral hygiene workshops to special needs group homes and participating at Special Olympics Special Smiles each year.
Dr. DiNardo is also a certified yoga instructor and implements breathing techniques and mindfulness to help her patients manage any anxiety that may come with dental treatment. She was awarded the 2017 Medical Staff Association Service to Patients award for demonstrating outstanding contributions to patients above and beyond the call of duty, including promotion of clinical knowledge, professionalism, leadership in medicine, and excellence in practice management.
George J. DuPont, DDS, is a dentist at Samuels Sinclair Dental Center and a clinical assistant professor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. DuPont is part of the craniofacial team at Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
