Olivia

Olivia's Story

Eight-year-old Olivia Mullaney was just like her friends: young, healthy, full of life, a lover of sports, and a very active child.

She was a quintessential kid until one day during the summer of 2019 when out of what appeared to be nowhere, Olivia suffered her first seizure.

Good Night Lights

Good Night Lights is a local tradition that began with a simple gesture from long-time hospital "resident cartoonist" Steve Brosnihan. Steve wanted to wish the children of Hasbro Children's Hospital a good night as he rode home on his bicycle after an evening at the hospital. Since then, restaurants, hotels, Brown University, police departments, and an assisted-living community have joined in at 8:30 p.m. each night, making "Good Night Lights" one of the area's fastest-growing traditions.
