Multidisciplinary Obstetric Medicine Service (MOMS)
Women's Medicine Collaborative

Maternal Fetal Medicine Center

Perinatal care encompasses two areas that are required for a healthy pregnancy – a healthy baby and a healthy mother. The maternal fetal medicine program at Women’s Medicine Collaborative provides specialized care for women with high-risk pregnancies.

Advanced maternal age, a chronic medical condition, lifestyle choices, prior pregnancy complications, or having a multiple pregnancy may be reasons your obstetrician referred you to our maternal fetal medicine specialists.

We understand that being told you have a "high-risk" pregnancy can be emotionally stressful.  We will help you to understand your risk, how to manage any medical conditions you might have during your pregnancy and how your health might affect labor and delivery.

Our maternal fetal medicine program offers high-risk pregnancy care for women whose pregnancies require more frequent monitoring, medications, or treatments.

We manage the care of women with existing health problems, such as diabetes, those who develop complications during pregnancy, and any health problems that develop after pregnancy.
