The Lawrence A. Aubin, Sr. Child Protection Center was created in 1996 through a collaboration of Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University and key community partners.

The Aubin Center is a specialized clinic that provides outpatient evaluations as well as inpatient and emergency department consultations for suspected cases of child maltreatment.

Welcome to the Lawrence A. Aubin, Sr. Child Protection Center

The Aubin Center at Hasbro Children’s Hospital is a nurturing haven where compassion is the cornerstone of every decision. Watch this video and experience the warmth and dedication of our team as we stand together, guiding children on their journey to health and happiness.

The center is staffed by highly trained medical professionals who have expertise in identifying and addressing all forms of child maltreatment - physical abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse, including domestic minor sex trafficking. Our providers work closely with social work, nursing, advocates, and child life specialists to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed care to children and adolescents experiencing maltreatment and their family members.

The clinical expertise of the Aubin Center team is a critical resource to state child protection agencies, child advocacy centers, law enforcement and the state’s attorney general. We serve all of Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts and Connecticut.
