Physicians
A team of experienced physicians will provide medical care for your loved one during his or her stay on the TICU. This team is supervised by an attending trauma physician. A member of the physician team is available 24 hours a day to provide information about your loved one's condition.
Nurses
Dedicated TICU nurses work around the clock to provide the very best care for your loved one.
Clinical social workers and chaplains
Clinical social workers and chaplains are available upon request. They can provide emotional support and helpful advice during this difficult time. All conversations are confidential. Please ask a TICU secretary or nurse to contact a social worker or chaplain for you.
Rhode Island Hospital has a non-denominational chapel that is always open for meditation and prayer. The chapel is located on the first floor of the main building. If you would like privacy, you may close the chapel's door. Please leave the door open when you leave.
