Pediatric Imaging / Interventional Radiology
The Center for Pediatric Imaging and Sedation at Hasbro Children's Hospital is a full-service diagnostic imaging suite offering a complete range of services—including MRI and CT—exclusively for children. As the facility with the area’s only pediatric radiologists and imaging technicians, we have the skill and experience necessary to perform and interpret pediatric imaging tests, as well as diagnose conditions unique to children.
What to Expect
Parents and patients will enter the center’s “underwater world” theme with tranquil shades of blue and green and images of the ocean to help ease patients’ minds. The lobby features child-and teen-size activity tables where child life specialists will lead patients of all ages in arts and crafts projects while they wait. Parents are welcome to join their child at the activity table or wait in the quieter sitting area. In addition two registration desks and a processing station allow for quick and easy patient registration, and a private interview room is available for discussing billing matters in private. Younger patients may receive sedation services as needed; older patients typically do not need sedation. Whenever possible you can stay with your child during the tests.
