Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Rosa H. Bermudez Emmanuelli, MD, FACOG, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group-Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Bermudez Emmanuelli is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Her area of interest is general obstetrics and gynecology. She speaks English and Spanish.

Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Debra Goldman, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group-Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Goldman graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in biopsychology from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. She received a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants’ Hospital and Brown University Medical School. Dr. Goldman is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She is a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University; and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her areas of clinical interest include normal and high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive in-office procedures, menopausal health, and general gynecology and surgery. 

Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Annmarie Jurczak, MD, FACOG is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University, and earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at North Shore University Hospital in New York.

Dr. Jurczak is a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the New England Obstetrical and Gynecological Society.

Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Erin Kunkel, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kunkel graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont and earned a certificate in premedical studies from Columbia University in New York. She received her medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed her residency at Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia, where she was administrative chief resident in the department of obstetrics and gynecology.

During her medical training, Dr. Kunkel completed an elective resident rotation focused on both antepartum care and gynecologic surgery in Lima, Peru at the Hospital San Bartolome, as well as a summer in Ecuador as a member of Child Family Health International, taking part in their Amazon Community Health Program. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Her areas of interest include women’s health, colposcopy, gynecologic surgery, yoga and holistic health.

She speaks English and Spanish.

Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Nayana Manjunath, MD, FACOG, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology and clinical instructor in obstetrics and gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Manjunath received her medical degree at M.S. Ramaiah Medical College in Bangalore, India and completed her residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and her areas of interest are high-risk obstetrics and abnormal Pap smears.

Dr. Manjunath is fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada.

Nwamaka Mary-Anne Onwugbenu, MD is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her undergraduate degree in biology from St. John’s University in Jamaica, NY. Dr. Onwugbenu earned her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Onwugbenu is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Her clinical interests include abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine fibroids, minimally invasive surgery and general obstetrics.

Adrienne Perry, MD, FACOG is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Perry graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Women & Infants Hospital.

She is a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the New England Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. Her research interests include high-risk obstetrics and abnormal bleeding.

Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Rebecca Randall, MD, FACOG is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Randall graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, before receiving her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her residency at Women & Infants Hospital.

Dr. Randall is a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Medical Associates and the New England Obstetrical and Gynecological Society.

Dr. Randall is interested in comprehensive ob-gyn care. She speaks some Spanish and French.

Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Rajendrasinh Rathod, MD, FACOG, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Rathod graduated from the Gujarat University and received his medical degree from Gujarat University, B.J. Medical College and Civil Hospital. He completed his residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Virginia. Prior to joining Lifespan Physician Group, he was the vice director of the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Uniontown Hospital in Pennsylvania. He also served as clinical assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences at University of Pittsburgh Medical School and adjunct clinical assistant professor at Lake Erie School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Rathod is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and his areas of interest include preeclampsia, preterm labor, and abnormal uterine bleeding.

He speaks English, Hindi, Gujarati, and Urdu.

Associate Chief of OBGYN Services

Meera Varma Simões, MD, FACOG is associate chief of OBGYN services and an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Akron. After earning her medical degree from Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, Dr. Simões completed her residency at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio.

Dr. Simões is a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the New England Obstetrical and Gynecological Society. Her clinical interests include adolescent gynecology and abnormal Pap smears.

Michele Style, DO, is a doctor of osteopathic medicine at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is the co-founder of the Pride Clinic at Albert Einstein Medical Center, a multidisciplinary program for LGBTQ health. Her clinical interests include comprehensive obstetrics and gynecologic care and LGBTQ health care. Dr. Style is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association, and the American Osteopathic Association.

Obstetrician/Gynecologist

Jessica Torres, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Torres received her medical degree from the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Torres completed a Harrison fellowship in at the Ghandaki Medical College in Pokhara, Nepal.

Dr. Torres is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Her areas of clinical interest include abnormal uterine bleeding, holistic women's health, high-risk obstetrics, and the history of medicine.

Gynecologist

Debra Brendel, MD, NCMP, FACOG is a gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Brendel graduated from Providence College before receiving her medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and completing her residency at Women & Infants Hospital.

Dr. Brendel is a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Rhode Island Medical Society. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) as a nationally certified menopause provider. Her areas of interest include perimenopause, menopause and bone health.

Dr. Brendel cares for gynecology patients and patients in the Menopause Consultation Program.

Gynecologist

Lindsay Clark Donat, MD, FACOG, is a gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the Pelvic Pain Program team. Dr. Clark Donat received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.  

She completed the Brown-Dartmouth medical program and earned her medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Women & Infants Hospital. She completed a two-year fellowship program in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at Yale University. 

Dr. Clark Donat’s clinical interests include laparoscopic and robotic hysterectomy, surgical treatment of fibroids, and the management of endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. 

Dr. Clark Donat cares for gynecology patients and patients in the Pelvic Pain Program.

Gynecologist

Paula DeYoung, MD, FACOG is a gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College, and graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Women & Infants Hospital. 

Dr. DeYoung is a clinical instructor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, as well as a fellow in the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. 

Dr. DeYoung's clinical interests include HPV screening and counseling, vulvar/cervical disease, care of perimenopausal and postmenopausal women, and management of abnormal uterine bleeding.

Director of the Menopause Consultation Program

Mary Catherine DeRosa, MD, FACOG, NCMP, CCD is a gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology and director of the Menopause Consultation Program at the Women’s Medicine Collaborative. She is a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Her areas of interest include menopause and sexuality.

Dr. DeRosa has more than 30 years of experience in women’s health and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) as a nationally certified menopause provider, and the International Society of Clinical Densitometry as a certified clinical densitometrist.

In 2002, Dr. DeRosa founded The Independent Woman, a single specialty gynecology practice in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Dr. DeRosa received a medical degree from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical College in Syracuse, New York, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York.

Dr. DeRosa cares for gynecology patients and patients in the Menopause Consultation Program.

Director, Pelvic Pain Program

Sarah Fox, MD, FACOG, is a gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology and director of the Pelvic Pain Program. A clinical assistant professor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Dr. Fox received a medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School-University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Brunswick, NJ, and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Allegheny General Hospital-Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

She completed a fellowship in urogynecology and pelvic floor dysfunction at St. George’s Hospital at the University of London in England. She is a board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of the board of directors and past president of the International Pelvic Pain Society and has been treating pelvic pain since 2000. Dr. Fox is a member of the board of directors of the North American Society of Psychosocial Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is also an adjunct assistant professor in the department of gender studies at Brown University and teaches an undergraduate course: "Reproductive Health: Science and Politics."

Dr. Fox cares for gynecology patients and patients in the Pelvic Pain Program.

Her clinical interests include chronic pelvic pain, resident education, family planning, cervical cancer screening, and general gynecology.

Brittany Fraser, MSPAS, PA-C
Physician Assistant

Brittany Fraser, MSPAS, PA-C, is a physician assistant at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Fraser received a master’s of science degree in physician assistant studies from Johnson & Wales University, Center for Physician Assistant Studies in Rhode Island. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Rhode Island Academy of Physician Assistants, and helped to establish the Johnson & Wales Physician Assistant Student Society, a nationally recognized organization through the AAPA. Fraser was inducted into Pi Alpha, the National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. Her areas of particular clinical interest include preventive medicine, women’s health issues, and patient education.
 

Gynecologist

Benjamin Vogel, MD, FACOG, is a gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Vogel graduated from Dartmouth College before receiving his medical degree from the State University of New York/Downstate Medical Center. He completed his residency at Women & Infants Hospital.

Dr. Vogel is a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Director, Minimally Invasive Gynecology

W. Scott Walker, MD, FACOG, is a gynecologist at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology and director of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. A clinical assistant professor of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, he graduated from Harvard University and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. Dr. Walker completed his residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He is a clinical assistant professor at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Medical Association and Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Walker's areas of interest are da Vinci robot-assisted surgery, advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, and obstetrics. He is fluent in Spanish.

Nicole Heig, CNM, MSN
Certified Nurse Midwife

Nicole Heig, CNM, MSN, is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her undergraduate degree at Amherst College and received her graduate training at Yale University School of Nursing.

In addition to her labor support experience, she has worked as a perinatal educator in a community health setting and as a peer counselor for victims of sexual assault and rape. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.

Heig’s interests include contraception and childbirth education.

Rachel Johanson, MSN, CNM, WHNP
Certified Nurse Midwife

Rachel Johanson, MSN, CNM, WHNP is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT, and received a bachelor of science in nursing degree and her master’s degree with a nurse-midwifery specialty from the University of Utah as well.

She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Her particular areas of interest include preventative medicine, health promotion and wellness strategies, and screening and care of sexually transmitted infections. Rachel is fluent in Spanish.

Megan Morris, MSN, CNM, WHNP-BC
Certified Nurse Midwife

Megan Morris, MSN, CNM, WHNP-BC, is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group-Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

In addition to her labor support experience, she has worked as a birth doula and breastfeeding educator. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Megan’s areas of interest include physiologic birth, family planning, and LGBTQ+ health.

Maureen Molloy Morrow, CNM, MSN, MPH
Certified Nurse Midwife

Maureen Morrow, CNM, MSN, MPH is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of New Hampshire, and received a master of public health from Johns Hopkins University as well as a master of nursing from the University of Rhode Island.

Along with her many years of experience as a midwife, Morrow has worked as a nurse in Zimbabwe and Poland, and is a certified lactation consultant. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.

Morrow's areas of interest include caring for teens and breastfeeding support.

Chelsea Shea, CNM, WHNP-BC, CLC
Certified Nurse Midwife

Chelsea Shea, CNM, WHNP-BC, CLC is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She attended Thomas Aquinas College as an undergraduate, and graduated summa cum laude with a master of science in nursing midwifery and women’s health from the University of Pennsylvania.

Shea is board certified in women’s health and is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. She is a certified lactation counselor. Her areas of interest include physiologic birth, postpartum support and fertility awareness.

Cynthia Siegel, MSN, CNM, IBCLC
Certified Nurse Midwife

Cynthia Siegel, MSN, CNM, IBCLC, is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Rhode Island and received her graduate training at Yale University School of Nursing.

In addition to her many years of experience as a midwife, she is an International Board Certified lactation consultant and served as the education director of Midwives for Haiti. Cynthia is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Cynthia’s interests include normal physiologic birth, lactation support and teen health care.

Cynthia Voytas, CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife

Cynthia Voytas, MSN, CNM, is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin and nursing degree at the Community College of RI. Cindy received her masters degree in nursing from Frontier Nursing University. Cindy is a certified lactation counselor. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) and serves as the current president of the RI Affiliate of the ACNM. Cindy's interests include breastfeeding support, family planning, contraceptive counseling, management of menopause, and supporting natural childbirth. She is fluent in English and German.

Camille Williams, CNM, MSN
Certified Nurse Midwife

Camille Williams, CNM, MSN is a certified nurse midwife with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor of science in nursing, and completed her master’s degree in midwifery at the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Kentucky.

Along with her experience as a midwife, her professional experience includes years as a traveling nurse and as an assistant nurse manager in labor and delivery and high risk obstetrics. She serves as legislative contact of the Rhode Island affiliate of the American College of Nurse Midwives. Her areas of interest include sexual health and vaginal birth after cesarean support.

Paula DeMello, RNP
Nurse Practitioner

Paula DeMello, WHNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner with Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology. She received an undergraduate degree from Rhode Island College and a master’s degree in nursing from Boston College. DeMello is a board certified women’s health nurse practitioner by the National Certification Corporation.

She has worked as a clinical nursing instructor and is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the National Vulvodynia Association. Among her areas of special interest is adolescent gynecology.
