Medical Imaging Capabilities in the Newport Area

Thursday, October 27, 6 to 7 p.m.

Learn about the medical imaging capabilities in the Newport area and take a tour of the Portsmouth Imaging Center. Guest speakers Martha B. Mainiero, MD, Radiologist, Medical Director, Anne C. Pappas Center for Breast Imaging, and Chris Monteiro, Director of Imaging, Newport Hospital and Director of Radiology Information Systems, Lifespan, will discuss the importance of screening mammograms, particularly during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  They'll give an update about the new open MRI at the Portsmouth Imaging Center, the only MRI of its kind in the Lifespan system.
