Cardiac Care for Women

Compared to men, women have different risks for cardiovascular disease, symptoms of cardiovascular disease, and response to treatment. At the Women’s Cardiac Center, we have an in-depth understanding of these differences and offer a multidisciplinary approach to specialized cardiac care for women

In our convenient, comfortable setting dedicated to women’s health, we provide cardiac services for all women, including those with known risk factors for cardiovascular disease such as:

  • family history of heart disease
  • hypertension
  • diabetes
  • obesity
  • smoking
  • lack of exercise
  • pregnancy or post-pregnancy
  • postmenopausal time of life

Through the Lifespan Cardiovascular Institute, we offer complete diagnostic and clinical cardiology services, cardiovascular surgery, and cardiac rehabilitation, as well as access to clinical trials. All test results and recommendations are sent to each patient’s primary care physician.

Are You at Risk for Heart Disease?

Symptoms in women are far more subtle than those in men. It is important to talk with your doctor about any concerns you may have about your cardiac health.
