Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Anna Yeo, PhD, is a STAR T32 postdoctoral fellow at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, where she completed her pediatric psychology internship. She earned her PhD in clinical psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY).

Dr. Yeo’s research program centers on elucidating biopsychosocial factors shaping children’s health and developmental outcomes. Her scientific and clinical endeavors aim to better understand stressors affecting racial/ethnic minority children, particularly those with chronic illnesses (e.g., type 1 diabetes, asthma), and promote their resilience. Within the Pediatric Health Disparities Research Program of Koinis Mitchell, MD, Dr. Yeo examines how lifestyle behaviors, such as sleep, diet, and exercise, may influence asthma outcomes and risk for comorbid obesity among ethnically diverse children living in urban environments.

Dr. Yeo received a BA in political science from Binghamton University, SUNY, and an MA in psychology in education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
