Brian W. LeBlanc, PhD

Brian W LeBlanc, PhD, is an assistant professor of surgery (research) in the department of surgery at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.  He earned his PhD from Brown University in pathobiology, studying the effects of fungal cell wall components on neutrophil priming.  He continued his work on innate immunology as a post-doctoral researcher in the department of neurosurgery at Rhode Island Hospital. His research is focused on investigating the roles for the β1 and β2 integrins in mediating human neutrophils interaction with C. albicans, both in vitro and in vivo.
