Brie Reid, PhD, is an investigator and K99/R00 postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine at The Miriam Hospital and the department of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Reid studies how stress biology early in life affects neurobehavioral development and health, especially in the context of nutritional adversity. 

Dr. Reid received her BS and MA degree in design and environmental psychology from Cornell University, where she focused on international nutrition and child development. She received her MA and PhD degrees in developmental psychology from the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development, where she also minored in epidemiology. Previously, she was a postdoctoral research fellow with the Childhood Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) T32 group at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.

Dr. Reid is currently involved in several longitudinal cohort studies focused on early life stress, nutrition, and mental and physical health outcomes using a “cells to society” approach.
