Christin Zollicoffer is chief belonging and equity officer at Lifespan. In this role, Zollicoffer leads Lifespan’s strategy for developing as a diverse, inclusive and culturally responsive health care system.
As Lifespan’s chief belonging and equity officer, Zollicoffer is responsible for a comprehensive plan for increasing diverse representation at all levels of the organization, and for ensuring that belonging and equity considerations are incorporated into decision-making processes with the goal of fair and equitable treatment for all. She partners with human resources to increase focus on ownership and accountability for plans related to belonging and equity at Lifespan, and also cultivates strategic relationships to ensure that Lifespan serves as an agent for transformative change in the community.
Zollicoffer previously served as vice president for community health and well-being and a regional director for diversity, equity and inclusion at Trinity Health in Michigan, where she led belonging and equity strategy and implementation for a 2,270-bed, 45,000-employee geographic region. She initiated innovative training, deployed belonging and equity measures and process changes that achieved priority strategic goals for the region, and trained executives and leaders to recognize and address unconscious bias.
