Elizabeth Mainelli, BSN, RN, is a registered nurse and nurse navigator with the Total Joint Center at The Miriam Hospital.
As a nurse navigator, Mainelli helps patients navigate their patient experience with support throughout their admission, treatment, and care plan, along with assistance in complying with and understanding the various aspects of their healthcare journey.
Prior to her position as nurse navigator at The Miriam, she worked with postoperative orthopedic patients and was a pre-admission testing nurse. She was instrumental in establishing the position of surgical services case manager with the Total Joint Center, in which she collaborated with surgeon’s offices, home care agencies and other team members to establish safe discharge plans prior to admission and expedite the discharge process.
Mainelli earned a bachelor of science in nursing and a bachelor of arts in psychology from Rhode Island College. She gained healthcare experience at Fuller Hospital in Attleboro, Massachusetts and Roger Williams Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
Mainelli’s personal love of hiking and advocacy for an active lifestyle motivates her patients towards their own healing and healthy living.
