Jennifer A. Sanders, PhD

Jennifer A. Sanders, PhD, is an assistant professor of pediatrics at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and an assistant professor of pathology and laboratory medicine (research) in Brown University’s Division of Biology and Medicine. She received her doctoral degree in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry from Brown University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in gastroenterology at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
Sanders’s research focus is on understanding the mechanism regulating hepatic progenitor cell growth and differentiation during liver development, injury and carcinogenesis. She is a member of the Rhode Island Hospital COBRE Center for Cancer Research Development and received funding from the U.S. National Institutes of Health in 2014. She is also a graduate program trainer in the pathobiology at Brown University.
