Nurse Practitioner

Mary V. Cabral, MSN, APRN-CNP, CWOCN-AP, is a nurse practitioner and a certified wound ostomy continence nurse who established the Ostomy Center at The Miriam Hospital. She specializes in ostomy and wound care and incontinence issues.

Cabral earned a diploma in nursing at Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing, followed by a bachelor of science degree in nursing at Rhode Island College. She received her master of science in nursing degree from University of Rhode Island. Cabral also attended the Harrisburg Area Enterostomal Therapy Nursing Program in Massachusetts.

She is a member of numerous professional societies, including the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Society, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. 

Cabral has presented on the topics of wound care and ostomy management.
