Caroline James Kistin, MD

Caroline J. Kistin, MD, MSc is a pediatrician with Hasbro Children’s Hospital and a health services researcher and Associate Professor in the Hassenfeld Child Health and Innovation Institute at the Brown School of Public Health. 

Dr. Kistin is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Academic Pediatric Association. Her prior research has focused on family mental health, the prevention of child maltreatment, and on developing and testing family-focused and community-delivered interventions to improve both parent and child outcomes. Dr. Kistin has previously served as the Primary Investigator and Program Director for a T32-funded fellowship program at Boston Medical Center, where she trained and mentored doctoral students and post-doctoral trainees in health services research, with a focus on health care quality, delivery, and health outcomes specific to low-income populations.
