Student and Faculty Mandatory Orientation at The Miriam Hospital
Orientation
Patient safety is a quality priority at The Miriam Hospital. All providers are expected to be familiar with essential general safety measures and measures for preventing health care-associated infections.
Annual Requirements
Faculty who will be on site and all students must complete the mandatory orientation requirements annually. Completions are valid through July 31 of a given year.
Requirements must be completed through the Centralized Clinical Placement System Online Orientation (CCP). Faculty at non-CCP schools should contact The Miriam Hospital department of nursing's Center for Professional Practice and Innovation (CPPI) for information about accessing the online system.
For all levels of students, faculty are responsible for providing attestations that all requirements have been met and for delivering required documentation to CPPI. This applies to both CCP member and non-member schools, including online academic programs. Students are responsible for completing the online orientation requirements and for giving required documentation to the faculty member responsible for their rotation or preceptorship.
Required documents must be received by CPPI before students may begin their clinical rotations or preceptorships.
