About the Brown University Health Cancer Institute
The Brown University Health Cancer Institute at Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children's, The Miriam Hospital, Newport Hospital, Saint Anne's Hospital, and Morton Hospital provides the most current cancer diagnosis and treatment options. Our world-renowned physicians and specialists form multidisciplinary teams, both in the hospitals and at the Brown University Health Ambulatory Care Centers in East Greenwich and Lincoln. An Emerging Approach for Treatment
After decades of research in cancer treatment, physicians and researchers are touting the benefits of a new defense against cancer. Precision medicine is a personalized and targeted approach for disease treatment and prevention. It takes into account the individual variability in genes, environment and lifestyle for each patient.
Two notable areas of precision medicine that we have integrated into our practice are immunotherapy and molecularly targeted treatment.
