Marissa Getman Finger, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Marissa Finger is a nurse practitioner in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where she brings a holistic approach to caring for young people with complex medical problems due to kidney disease. She has specialized in nephrology as a registered nurse and advanced pediatric registered nurse since 2019. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology.

Finger earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Western Connecticut State University in 2016. Almost simultaneously, she earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing in 2017 from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She went on to earn a doctorate degree in nursing practice from Sacred Heart University in 2022. She has a certification in pediatric advanced life  support and basic life support from the American Heart Association.

She recently co-authored a chapter about caring for patients with end-stage kidney disease in the Oxford Textbook of Palliative Nursing.
