American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider Course

The classroom-based, instructor-led BLS for Healthcare Providers Course teaches health care professionals the critical skills of high-quality CPR, to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking safely, quickly, and effectively.

This course is designed to prepare a wide variety of people who, as first responders, may need to:

  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in their health care workplace or similar setting
  • Use an AED
  • Help someone who is choking
  • Perform first aid

Classes are available to the community at a cost of $50. A course completion card will be sent electronically after completion of course, once processed through the American Heart Association.
