Pelvic Pain Program
COVID-19: Your safety is our top concern.
We know that you want to feel confident that you are entering a safe environment when you come to Lifespan Physician Group offices for care. That’s why we have made some changes in response to COVID-19.
A Multidisciplinary Team with Expertise in Pelvic Disorders
The Pelvic Pain Program at Lifespan Physician Group, Obstetrics and Gynecology offers consultative services specifically for women experiencing pelvic pain. Pelvic pain is defined as pain anywhere from the navel to the groin, front or back of the body, that has been present for more than six months.
The program offers patients a multidisciplinary team of clinicians with expertise in pelvic disorders. Our staff includes gynecologists, physical therapists, gastroenterologists, a colorectal surgeon, a clinical dietitian, a chiropractor, behavioral medicine professionals, and a lifestyle modification specialist. All our physicians are faculty members of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
“Dr. Fox is wonderful. She's a great listener, super kind, funny and smart! I am grateful to be able to trust her with my care. I felt safe and comfortable with her and left feeling inspired and normal, and hopeful for the first time in a while about my health issue. The desk staff was terrific, too. Thank you so much.”
- Susan, 61 years old, Barrington, RI
Pelvic Pain is Complex
We understand the complexity of pelvic pain and its impact on quality of life. Each patient has a unique experience of pelvic pain. We offer individualized care based on your personal symptoms, and take a holistic approach to reduce your pain and to help you achieve optimal health and quality of life.
Most patients have multiple underlying causes of their pelvic pain. In some cases, it may take time to diagnose the cause of your pain. Even if this is the case, there are general measures we can take to help control your pain while we continue to work towards a diagnosis.
