The Grateful Patient Program at The Miriam Hospital provides an opportunity for you to say thank you in a special and meaningful way to the caregivers (doctors, nurses, hospital staff) who made a difference to you or your family during your time at The Miriam.
It may have been a lifesaving procedure or something as simple as a kind word or a smile that brought you or your family member comfort and you would like to show your thanks. Gifts from grateful patients support current programs and services, as well as invest in the future of medicine, research, and medical education.

This initiative will have several focuses related to extra virgin olive oil. It will involve: education of the health benefits of extra virgin olive oil through lectures for the general public and the science community, including physicians and medical students at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University.
All funds donated to this initiative will be used directly for education, advocacy, and research. The initiative will be overseen by Mary M. Flynn, PhD, RD, LDN, an associate professor of medicine (clinical) at Brown University and a research dietitian at The Miriam Hospital.
Planned giving is a way of making a charitable gift where some thought and some assistance are needed to complete the donation. The assistance can come from an attorney, stockbroker, tax advisor, insurance agent, or gift planning officer. The thoughtfulness comes from what you want your gift to accomplish for patient care, clinical education, and medical research.
